G. Elaine Smith

G. Elaine Smith, 65, of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019, at her home.

She was born May 16, 1953, in Cape Girardeau to the Rev. Robert D. and Grace Marie Edwards Smith.

She received a degree from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville.

Elaine worked at AT&T as a senior quality/methods and procedure/process manager for 40 years.

She enjoyed quilting, sewing and crafting. She had a love for animals.

She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include many friends and a large family of cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. April 6 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Frank Burgess officiating.

Burial was held at Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial contributions may be given to Fellowship Baptist Church, 430 Koch Ave., Cape Girardeau, MO 63703.
