Furlie Viola Eaker, 97, of Cape Girardeau, died Thursday, June 13, 1996, at Fountainbleau Lodge.
She was born Oct. 5, 1898, in Bollinger County, daughter of Lorence and Betty F. Eaker James. She and Glen E. Eaker were married Jan. 12, 1918. He died Jan. 12, 1994.
Eaker was a member of Point Pleasant General Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Jesse and James Eaker of Cape Girardeau, Jack Eaker of Whitewater; two brothers, Carl James of Chaffee, Cyrus James of Dearborn, Mich.; a sister, Audrey Pulley of McClure, Ill.; five grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, infant daughter, a brother and three sisters.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gene Robbins officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery.
