FURL HENSON

MOREHOUSE -- Memorial service for Furl Lee "Doodlebug" Henson of Morehouse will be held at 7 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Morehouse. The Rev. Marty Blakey will officiate.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m.

Henson, 56, died Thursday, Aug. 5, 1999, at his home.

He was born Oct. 11, 1942, at Morehouse, son of Idus Furl and Katherine Magdeline Henson. He and Brenda Sue Harp were married Oct. 28, 1966, at Morehouse.

Henson lived in Morehouse most of his life. He was a member of American Legion Post 114 in Sikeston.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Furl Henson II and Sean Henson of Morehouse; and two granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son.
