JACKSON, Mo. -- Frieda Emma Siebert, 100, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2001, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. She was born Feb. 19, 1901, near Tilsit, Mo., daughter of Henry W. and Katharine D. Nagel Fluegge. She and Leo Henry Siebert were married July 30, 1922. He died Dec. 26, 1967...

JACKSON, Mo. -- Frieda Emma Siebert, 100, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2001, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Feb. 19, 1901, near Tilsit, Mo., daughter of Henry W. and Katharine D. Nagel Fluegge. She and Leo Henry Siebert were married July 30, 1922. He died Dec. 26, 1967.

The Sieberts owned and operated a grocery store and trucking business at Tilsit more than 20 years. She had also worked in food service at the former Schade's Cafe and St. Paul Lutheran School cafeteria, and did domestic work for several Jackson families. She had been an active volunteer for Jackson Community Senior Citizens Center.

She was a former member of Immanuel Lutheran Church at Tilsit. She moved to Jackson in 1952, and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid.

Survivors include three sons, Harlan and Freeman Siebert of Jackson, Vernon Siebert of Sikeston, Mo.; two daughters, Irene Siemers of Cape Girardeau, Vera Jean Voges of Jackson; a sister, Ruby Aufdenberg of Jackson; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; and 12 great-stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, a grandson, four brothers, and four sisters.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today, and Wednesday after 9:30 a.m. at St. Paul Church.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with the Rev. David Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
