CAIRO, Ill. -- Freida Williams, 90, of St. Louis, died Saturday, June 29, 1996, at West View Nursing Home in St. Louis County.
She was born Sept. 8, 1905, in Enterprise, daughter of William and Catherine Miller. She married Herbert B. Williams, who died Dec. 14, 1981.
Williams was a registered nurse. She was director of Alexander County Senior Citizens Center and Happy Days Nutrition Center in Cairo before retiring. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and its Winnie Roche Circle.
Survivors include a son, Herbert Williams of Creve Coeur, Mo.; two sisters, Edna Miller of Flora, Wilma Harris of Houston, Texas, and four grandchildren.
Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo from 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday.
Private graveside service will be held at Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge, with the Rev. Kelly Cox officiating.
