Freeman Delbert Williams, 82, of Jackson, formerly of Manila, Ark., and Dexter, Mo., passed away Sunday, March 7, 2010, in Cape Girardeau.
He was born in Beach Grove, Ark., son of Roy and Mamie Harvel Williams. He had lived in Jackson the past 11 years.
Mr. Williams was a retired home builder and farmer, and a member of First Baptist Church in Jackson.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Northington Williams of the home; a son, Dr. Stan (Sandi) Williams of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Sheila (Terry) Steele of Jackson; four grandchildren, Aaron (Crystal) Williams, Tel Williams, Anna Wren and Nick Wren.
Also five brothers, Elsworth Williams, Charles (Judy) Williams, Micky (Jeannie) Williams, Daryl (Phyllis) Williams, Joseph (Karen) Williams; three sisters, Marie (Elwood) Decker, Lettie (J.D.) Bradshaw and Patsy (Ralph) Bradshaw.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Kenny Dale Williams; two brothers, Ed and Dwight Williams; and two sisters, Imogene Clark and Judy Carolyn Williams.
Graveside service was held Wednesday at Manila Cemetery in Manila, Ark., with the Rev. Ferrel Duffel officiating.
Howard Funeral Chapel in Manila was in charge of arrangements.
