Friends may call today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, Mo., from 12:30-1:30 p.m.

Hickman, 53, died Monday, Dec. 24, 2001, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, Mo.

He was born April 12, 1948, in Philadelphia, Miss., son of John and Margaret Lewis Hickman.

Hickman had farmed and formerly worked at Sikeston Coca Cola Bottling Co.

Survivors include two sons, Freeman Hickman Jr. and Melvin Hickman of New Madrid; three brothers, Bill and James Hickman of Philadelphia, Frank Hickman of Sikeston; two sisters, Joann Holder of Sikeston, and Joyce Collins of Brinkley, Ark.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and a sister.
