ADVANCE, Mo. -- Freeda Jane Winchester, 101, of Advance died Thursday, April 8, 2004, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born July 16, 1902, at Dongola, Mo., daughter of Henry and Anne Nelson Revelle. She and Lee Wiley Winchester were married March 28, 1919, at Marble Hill, Mo. He died in 1988.
Freeda was a member of Dongola Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include six sons, Wilbur and Bob Winchester of Poplar Bluff, Mo., H.W., Doyle and Jim Winchester of Advance, Jack Winchester of Maryland Heights, Mo.; two daughters, Bonnie Shell of Advance, Nancy Farrar of Ballwin, Mo.; five foster daughters, Shirley Borgfield, Naomi Stanley and Evelyn Harris of Jackson, Audrey Huston of Fruitland, Barbara Warner of Marble Hill, 20 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and 11 foster grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters and four grandchildren.
Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Dongola Missionary Baptist Church, with the Revs. Dan Overton and Ronnie Winchester officiating. Burial will be in Dongola Cemetery.
