Freddie R. Ristig, 82, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Feb. 20, 1998, at his home.
He was born June 1, 1915, near Jackson, son of Louis and Ida Zschille Ristig. He and Edith Woeltje were married Dec. 23, 1939.
Ristig was shop foreman at Brennecke Chevrolet in Jackson 15 years, was a dairyman many years and was manager of Mid America Dairy 20 years, retiring in 1997. He was a lifelong member of Emanuel United Church of Christ in Jackson.
Survivors include his wife; a sister, Norma Brothers of Jackson; four foster sons, Ronald Huffman of Cape Girardeau, Donald Thompson, John and Marcus Wachoski of Gulfport, Miss.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today, and after 8:30 a.m. Sunday.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Sam Roethemeyer officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery at Jackson.
