CHARLESTON -- Funeral service for Freddie Joe Hurley of Charleston will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at McMikle Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Gerald Penn will officiate, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today.
Hurley, 78, died Thursday, Oct. 14, 1993, at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Ill.
He was born Jan. 16, 1915, in Bertrand, son of Jessie and Daisy Hurley. He and Geneva Eldridge were married July 21, 1935. She died Jan. 2, 1992.
After retiring from Columbia Ford Co. in Cahokia, Ill., he moved to Charleston. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church here.
Survivors include three sons, Fred Hurley of Cahokia, Donald Hurley of Dupo, Ill., Jim Hurley of Glenwood, Iowa; three sisters, Ola Berry of Bertrand, Bertie Chaney of Sikeston, Edna Phillips of Miner; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
