BERTRAND, Mo. -- Freda Mae Nelson, 90, of Bertrand died Wednesday, May 2, 2001, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo. She was born April 13, 1911, at Blodgett, Mo., daughter of Beedy Z. and Dora Caler Wyatt. She and Charles Ado Nelson were married Oct. 5, 1940, in Cape Girardeau. He died April 22, 1985...

BERTRAND, Mo. -- Freda Mae Nelson, 90, of Bertrand died Wednesday, May 2, 2001, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.

She was born April 13, 1911, at Blodgett, Mo., daughter of Beedy Z. and Dora Caler Wyatt. She and Charles Ado Nelson were married Oct. 5, 1940, in Cape Girardeau. He died April 22, 1985.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Grace Fitzpatrick of Sikeston; a daughter, Betty L. Fitzpatrick of Bertrand; two sisters, Ethel Ford Bolen of Cape Girardeau, Imogene Kelley of Memphis, Tenn.; a granddaughter, Cindy Fitzpatrick of Cape Girardeau; a grandson and granddaughter-in-law, David and Kathy Fitzpatrick of Cape Girardeau; and a great-grandchild, Dylan Fitzpatrick of Cape Girardeau.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a brother, Ueal "Barney" Wyatt; and a sister, Ora Hilderman.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau from noon to 2 today.

Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. today at the chapel, with the Rev. Darrell E. Faire Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
