Fred Wayne Smith, 64, 902 E. Rodney, died Monday, Nov. 14, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born April 25, 1930, in Cape Girardeau, son of Fred Rueal and Marie LeMae Davis Smith. He and Anna Mae Hood were married July 2, 1949, in Cape Girardeau.
Smith was a supervisor at Missouri Dry Dock and Repair 34 years, retiring in 1991. He was a member of Maple Avenue United Methodist Church, and chairman of its trustees and the Loyal Aiders Sunday School Class.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Steve Smith of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Suzanne Batchelor of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Don Smith of Cape Girardeau, Gary Smith of Arkansas; a sister, Evelyn Swann of Las Vegas, Nev., and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Jimmie Dace officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
