FRED W. CHILDERS

PERRYVILLE -- Fred W. Childers, 55, of Perryville, died Wednesday, March 29, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Dec. 6, 1939, in Hickman, Ky., son of Orville and Hazel Stevens Childers. He and LaDonna J. Mohart were married Sept. 24, 1960, in St. Louis.

Childers was a 16-year member of Sheet Metal Workers Local 36 in St. Louis, and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jeffrey Childers of Columbia, Christopher Childers of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Carol Waterman of Laurel, Md., Laura Babcock of Ft. Riley, Kan., Anne Childers of Perryville; two sisters, Maxine Kutrip and Sandy Fields of St. Louis, and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

There is no visitation.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Jeffrey Lloyd officiating. Burial will be private.
