EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral service for Fred Elliott Organ of East Prairie will be held at 2 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Chapel here. The Rev. Larry Smith will officiate, with burial in Dogwood Cemetery.

Organ, 54, died Sunday, June 2, 1996, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

He was born Nov. 29, 1941, in the Sugartree Ridge community of New Madrid County, son of Ollie and Geneva Dabbs Organ. He and Kathey Eaves were married Sept. 5, 1972.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Fred Organ of Anniston, Joe True of Jackson; a daughter, Beckie Johnston of Jackson; his mother, Geneva Redfering of East Prairie; two brothers, Louie and Jerry Organ of East Prairie; three sisters, Betty Burnes of Sikeston, Patsy Ray of East Prairie, Georgia Reid of Pevely, and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father.
