JONESBORO, Ill. -- Fred Mayberry, 83, Jonesboro Route 1, died Thursday, Aug. 15, 1991, in Elkhart, Ind.
He was born Feb. 1, 1908, in Anna, son of Fred and Ollie Ralls Mayberry. He and the former Laverne Housman were married in 1930. She died in 1958.
Mayberry was a cemetery attendant at Roosevelt Memorial Park in Gardena, Calif.
Survivors include two daughters, Ollie Eudy of Jonesboro, Mary O'Neal of Kimberling City, Mo.; two sons, Paul Mayberry of Elkhart, Larry Mayberry of Niles, Mich.; a sister, Pauline Wilson of East St. Louis; nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a grandson.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Valley Mission Pentecostal Church. The Revs. Herbert Wilson and Clifton Galiher will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at Norris and Son Funeral Home in Jonesboro after 5 p.m. today.
