CAPE GIRARDEAU - Funeral services will be held here Thursday for Fred LaBruyere, of Herndon, Va., formerly of Cape Girardeau. He died Thursday, Feb. 14, 1991, at a Reston, Va., hospital. He was 75.
He was born July 28, 1915, in Cape Girardeau, the son of John and Jennie Masters LaBruyere. He married Ruby Boss in Illmo, Mo., on March 15, 1938. She survives.
Also surviving are: a son Larry LaBruyeye of Virginia; three sisters, Alice Cannon of Cape Girardeau, Augusta Freeman of Midwest City, Okla., and Daisy Holland of Fruitland; and two grandchildren.
He worked for Missouri Utilities for many years and was a foreman at the Cape Girardeau water plant. He moved to California from Cape Girardeau, lived there five years, and moved to Virginia two years ago.
His body is being returned to Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at the Mt. Auburn Road funeral home. The funeral will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at the West Side Church of God in Cape Girardeau, with burial to follow in Forest Hills Cemetery near Morley.
