KNOXVILLE, TENN. Fred L. Fox, 90, formerly of Cairo and Olmsted, Ill., died June 5, 1993, at the Ft. Sanders-Park West Medical Center in Knoxville.
He was a resident of Hillcrest West Nursing Home in Knoxville.
He was born May 24, 1903, in Franklin, Tenn., the son of Hugh A. and Mary McKee Fox. They preceded him in death.
He was a retired telegrapher for the G.M & O. Railroad and Western Union.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cairo and a former member of the Cairo Rotary Club.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marie Clanton Fox, in 1970, and by his second wife, Edna Britt Fox, in 1990.
His is survived by one daughter, Margaret Ann Banks of Malvern, Ark.; one son, James R. Fox of Knoxville; three grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. today.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today at the funeral home with the Rev. William Gholson officiating.
Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge.
