Fred H. Gerlach, 63, of 2801 Bloomfield Road in Cape Girardeau died Saturday, March 28, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born March 25, 1929, in Egypt Mills, the son of Edward Charles and Amanda E. Borchelt Gerlach. On July 7, 1972, he married Emma L. McFall in Cape Girardeau. She survives of the home.
He worked for Cutmart Inc., and formerly was employed at American Optical in Cape Girardeau. He also worked for several years for Dr. Jim Crites Optical. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau.
Other survivors include a step-son, Roy McFall of Temecula, Calif.; two step-daughters, Peggy McMullin of Jackson and Jan Brockmire of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Harold Gerlach of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Dorothy Langston of Jackson and Zalma Winder of Idaho; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel in Cape Girardeau, where funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. David V. Dissen will officiate, and burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
