Funeral service for Fred Franklin Englehart, 2010 Thilenius, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. Dr. Larry Gallamore will officiate. Burial will be in Baker Cemetery at Marble Hill, with the Rev. Drew Laudie officiating.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. Friday.
Englehart, 85, died Monday, Feb. 12, 1996, at the Lutheran Home.
He was born April 3, 1910, at Lutesville, son of Jesse and Sadie Cole Englehart. He and Elva L. Hobbs were married June 1, 1951, in Blytheville, Ark. She died Aug. 13, 1994.
Englehart worked 32 years at Hopkins Brothers Hardware in Marble Hill, where he was a manager and buyer in the sporting goods and hardware departments. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and life member of VFW Post 3838. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and received a Bronze Star.
Survivors include a brother, Linder Englehart of Marble Hill, and a sister, Helen Puyear of Springfield.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
