Funeral for Fred H. Elfrank of Cape Girardeau will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. Hugh Stewart will officiate. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
Elfrank, 81, died Wednesday, July 12, 2000, at his home.
He was born April 19, 1919, at Lutesville, Mo., son of Fred Henry and Mary Estes Elfrank. He and Martha Colleen Clinton were married Aug. 3, 1940, in Cape Girardeau. She died Aug. 3, 1995.
Elfrank had owned Cape Coal Co. and Cape Sanitation Co., had been a route salesman with United Oil Co., and had been an auctioneer.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, member and past president of Cape Shrine Club and Exchange Club, and member of Trowel Masonic Lodge 440 AF&AM in Marble Hill.
Elfrank served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include a son, Fred Elfrank of Phoenix, Ariz.; a daughter, Debbie Langston of Jefferson City, Mo.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
