JONESBORO, Ill. -- Graveside service for Fred E. Bauer of Jonesboro will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at Jonesboro Cemetery. Phil Hileman will officiate.

Bauer, 76, died Monday, Jan. 3, 2000, at Jonesboro Healthcare Center.

He was born Aug. 20, 1923, in Reynoldsville, son of Fred Joseph and Norma Lowrance Bauer. He and Louise Ellis were married Feb. 4, 1943, in Jackson, Mo.

Bauer had been a construction equipment operator. He was a member of Operators Local 318.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Louis Bauer of Jonesboro, Steve Bauer of Anna; a daughter, Teresa Bauer of Anna; a brother, Bruce Bauer of Jonesboro; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
