Franklin Dee Quick, 77, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Portageville, Mo., died Monday, April 11, 2011, at his home.
He was born Oct. 6, 1933, in Portageville, to Jim and Gertie Rose Quick. He and Rosa Lee Clendenin were married Aug. 5, 1954. Dee and Rosa Lee have lived in Cape Girardeau the past 31 years.
He is survived by his wife, Rosa Lee of Cape Girardeau; four sons, DeWayne Quick of Portageville, Steve Quick of Arnold, Mo., Rodney Quick of Jackson, John Quick of Wardell, Mo.; two sisters, Pauline Hufstedler of Jackson, Lillian Stevens of East Cape Girardeau, Ill.; two brothers, Bill Quick of Michigan, Dalton Quick of Portageville; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Thelma Conder and Gladys Tillman; three brothers, Urias, Pete and Elgy Quick.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Crain Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau, with Judy Nilsen officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association and will be accepted at the funeral home.
