FRANK SHIRRELL

ZALMA, Mo. -- Frank W. Shirrell, 78, of Zalma died Friday, Aug. 24, 2001, at his home.

He was born April 18, 1923, at Zalma, son of Edward and Lillie Morgan Shirrell. He and Virginia Deevers were married March 22, 1952, in Piggott, Ark.

Shirrell retired as an engineer from N.L. Industries in St. Louis.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Frank Shirrell of Farmington, Mo., Roy Shirrell of Alton, Ill., Rev. Ed Shirrell of House Springs, Mo.; a daughter, Carolyn Moore of St. Charles, Mo.; four brothers, Roy and Kelly Shirrell of Zalma, Robert Shirrell of Lawton, Mich., the Rev. Tommy Brewer of Southern Illinois; two sisters, Ruth Shirrell of Zalma, Blanch Geiwitz of Affton, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance, Mo., from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. The Revs. Ed Shirrell and James Johns will officiate. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
