McCLURE, Ill. -- Frank Rushing, 89, of McClure, died Tuesday, Jan. 3, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
He was born Aug. 25, 1905, in Alto Pass, son of Echols and Etta Hagler Rushing. He and Mildred Arnold were married Feb. 9, 1962, in Jonesboro.
Rushing had been a carpenter, worked at the State Forest, and worked at Transcraft Corp. He was a member of Anna VFW Post 3455 and Mill Creek Baptist Church. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Paula Giles of Ridgecrest, Calif., and a nephew who lived with the family, Ronald Smith of McClure.
He was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home in Jonesboro from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Alto Pass Cemetery.
