CHARLESTON -- Funeral service for Frank N. Forbey of Charleston will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.

The Rev. Gerald Collier will officiate and burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Charleston.

Mr. Forbey died Tuesday at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. He was 86.

He was born Sept. 25, 1904 in Mississippi County to the late Arch and Ora Locker Forbey.

On April 3, 1923 he married Mary Anna Evans, who preceded him in death Jan. 17, 1987.

He lived his entire life in Mississippi County and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Charleston. He had been employed with the Bird Lumber Co. in Charleston and Sikeston Laundry and Cleaners until his retirement.

Three brothers and a sister also preceded him in death.

Survivors include a son, F. N. Forbey of Joplin; two daughters, Anna Lou Morris of Charleston and Dorothy Hess of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Archie Forbey and Dick Forbey, both of Charleston; three sisters, Lucille Hockersmith and Maxine Finley, both of East Prairie, and Ruth Grimwood of Sikeston; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
