Frank Humphrey, 93, of Cape Girardeau passed away Thursday, Oct. 15, 2015, at Southeast Hospital.
He was born Jan. 14, 1922, in Dumas, Mississippi, to the late Frank and Mattie Cappleman Humphrey and spent his childhood in Ripley, Mississippi.
Frank was a World War II veteran, serving in the Army Air Corps.
Frank retired after 31 years with IBM and was the owner and operator of Trader's Pawn Shop in Ripley.
He is survived by his sons, Russell (Roberta) Humphrey of Cape Girardeau and Frank Humphrey of Tomball, Texas; and a beloved grandson, Mitchell Humphrey.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents and wife of 59 years, Barbara Berendt Humphrey.
There will be no services in Cape Girardeau. A memorial celebration of life will take place at a later date in Ripley.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tippah County Good Samaritan Center Food Pantry in Ripley, Shriners Hospitals for Children or any favorite charity.
