MARBLE HILL -- Funeral for Frank Gabriel of Marble Hill will be held at 1 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, with the Rev. Michael Woods officiating. Burial will be in Bess Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until service time.

Gabriel, 92, died Wednesday, March 4, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born June 11, 1905, in Komlus, Hungary, son of Matthias and Elizabeth Schmidt Gabriel.

Gabriel had been a church custodian. He moved to this area 10 months ago from Hemet, Calif.

Survivors include his wife, Doris of Hemet; a son, Frank Gabriel of Windsor, N.Y.; a daughter, Sue Brewer of Marble Hill; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
