MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Frank A. Dye, 76, of Marble Hill died Monday, April 23, 2007, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Jan. 22, 1931, at Fulton, Mo., son of William and Ruth Fletcher Dye. He and Alba Gaudin were married Dec. 22, 1989, in Cape Girardeau.
Dye lived in Wisconsin and Callaway County, Mo., most of his life prior to moving to Marble Hill in 1989.
He was a retired welder with Gehls Co., and had owned several service stations. He was past president of Scopus Volunteer Fire Department.
Dye served in the U.S. Army from 1948 to 1950.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Mike Hawkins, Jody and Tony Dye, all of Fulton, Mo., Steven Dye of West Bend, Wis.; two daughters, Jacky Hawkins of Racine, Wis., Jackie Ison of Montgomery City, Mo.; two brothers, Gary Grimm of Hallsville, Mo., Tom Howard of Eldon, Mo.; a sister, Sue Welch of Michigan; 17 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, a brother and a sister.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, and from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Debo Funeral Home, with the Rev. Greg Oligschlaeger officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery with full military honors provided by Missouri Honors Team.
