Frank Brown

Frank S. Brown, 92, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, March 8, 2005, at Life Care Center.

He was born Sept. 3, 1912, in Cape Girardeau, son of James and Susie Powers Brown. He and Mary Elizabeth O'Howell were married Sept. 3, 1932, in Cape Girardeau. She died Aug. 11, 2000.

Brown was a chemist 38 years at Marquette Cement Co., retiring in 1969. He was a member of West Side Church of God.

Survivors include two daughters, Ruth Walker of Cape Girar-deau, Rose Gentry of Jackson; two half brothers, J.W. and Louis Brown of Pontotoc, Miss.; a half sister, Frances Brown of Jackson; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons, three brothers, a sister and a grandson.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bill Reid officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
