ORAN, Mo. -- Francis Arnold Urhahn, 91, of Oran passed away Friday, Feb. 17, 2017, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Missouri.
He was born Nov. 26, 1925, in Chaffee to the late Michael and Caroline Vogel Urhahn. He married Jessie Lola Shrum on Feb. 7, 1948, and she preceded him in death on Nov. 13, 2014.
Francis was a retired auto parts salesman. He was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran. He served in the United States Army during World War II and fought in Central Europe and was in the European African Middle Eastern Campaign.
He also was preceded in death by a son, William Urhahn; a grandson, Joshua Urhahn; two sons-in-law, William Clang and Richard Boss; a daughter-in-law, Bernice Urhahn; a brother, George Urhahn; and two sisters, Bernice Burton and Dolores LeGrand.
Survivors include two sons, Michael Urhahn of Berkeley, Missouri, and Dennis (Marcella) Urhahn of Athens, Alabama; three daughters, LaDonna Boss of Whitewater, Melissa Clang of Oran and Belinda and Jerry of Oran; a brother, Charles (Kay) Urhahn of Oran; 15 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Oran. Parish rosary will be at 6 p.m. Visitation will be from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran, with the Rev. Randy Tochtrop as celebrant. Burial will be at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley, Missouri, with full military honors.
