COMMERCE -- Francis G. "Mouse" Brotherton, 74, of Muncie, Ind., formerly of Commerce, died Tuesday, Oct. 14, 1997, at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. He was born Jan. 7, 1923, in Commerce and had lived in Muncie for 33 years. He was a retired tow motor operator for Borg-Warner Automotive, a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the American Legion Brown-Twitty Post No. 595 in New Madrid...

COMMERCE -- Francis G. "Mouse" Brotherton, 74, of Muncie, Ind., formerly of Commerce, died Tuesday, Oct. 14, 1997, at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.

He was born Jan. 7, 1923, in Commerce and had lived in Muncie for 33 years. He was a retired tow motor operator for Borg-Warner Automotive, a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the American Legion Brown-Twitty Post No. 595 in New Madrid.

He is survived by three sons, Ronald Brotherton of Indianapolis, Donald Brotherton of Valrico, Fla., and Michael Brotherton of Muncie; a daughter, Charlotte Alabdulmuhsen of Kuwait City, Kuwait; a brother, James Brotherton; a sister, Cecil Halford; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of funeral at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18 at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
