SIKESTON -- Frances Reynolds Young, 79, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Sikeston, died Sunday, Nov. 27, 1994, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.
She was born Oct. 12, 1915, in Campbell, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Park Reynolds.
On Dec. 19, 1940, she married Harry C. Young Jr. in Cape Girardeau. He died Nov. 23, 1986.
She was a housewife and homemaker and a member of the PEO Sisterhood in Sikeston and Memphis, where she was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Parish.
She was also affiliated with the Memphis Junior League and Women's Exchange in Memphis. She was a benefactor of the Virginia Military Institute Foundation Inc. in Lexington, Va.
Survivors are two sons, Reynolds Young, Arlington, Va., and Harry C. Young III, St. Louis; one granddaughter and two stepgrandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Francis Xavier Church in Sikeston with Monsignor William Stanton, the pastor, officiating. He will be assisted by the Rev. Amel Shibley, pastor of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in New Hamburg.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
