CHARLESTON -- Frances McBride, 87, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Charleston, died Friday, Nov. 1 at the Fountainbleau Lodge.
She was born Jan. 25, 1904, in Adams, Tenn., to Irvin and Nancy Stroud Whitehead.
She married Russell McBride in August 1933. He preceded her in death on Oct. 9, 1968.
Survivors include one daughter-in-law, Erica McBride of Cape Girardeau, one sister, Virginia Ridings of Charleston, four grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Cedric, and two brothers and two sisters.
McBride was a member of the United Methodist Church and the American Legion auxiliary.
Until her retirement, she was associated in business with her husband, who operated McBride Cooperage Co. of Charleston.
Friends may call at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston until time of funeral services today.
Funeral services will be held today at 3 p.m. at the McMikle Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Richard Combs officiating. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.
