ANNA, Ill. -- Frances Louise Garrett, 80, of Murphysboro, Ill., formerly of Anna, died Friday, Sept. 15, 2006, at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro. She was born May 22, 1926, in Anna, daughter of Jess and Mabel Spicer Brimm. She and Raymond Kenneth Garrett were married Aug. 30, 1946, in Piggott, Ark. He died Oct. 18, 2003...

ANNA, Ill. -- Frances Louise Garrett, 80, of Murphysboro, Ill., formerly of Anna, died Friday, Sept. 15, 2006, at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro.

She was born May 22, 1926, in Anna, daughter of Jess and Mabel Spicer Brimm. She and Raymond Kenneth Garrett were married Aug. 30, 1946, in Piggott, Ark. He died Oct. 18, 2003.

Survivors include three sons, Raymond Garrett of Jonesboro, Ill., Michael Garrett of Osaka, Japan, Ronnie Garrett of Ganado, Texas; a daughter, Carol Hoppe of Campbell Hill, Ill.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna from noon to service time Thursday.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. John Cripps officiating. Burial will be in Anna City Cemetery.
