WAPPAPELLO -- Frances E. Davis, 72, of Wappapello, died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 1994, at Dexter Memorial Hospital in Dexter. She was born Aug. 13, 1921, in Scott County, daughter of Luther and Lula Windsor Kirkpatrick. She and Frank Shelby Davis were married Oct. 24, 1937...

WAPPAPELLO -- Frances E. Davis, 72, of Wappapello, died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 1994, at Dexter Memorial Hospital in Dexter.

She was born Aug. 13, 1921, in Scott County, daughter of Luther and Lula Windsor Kirkpatrick. She and Frank Shelby Davis were married Oct. 24, 1937.

Davis had lived in Wappapello 23 years, and was a member of Southern Baptist Church in Diehlstadt.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Fred Davis of Troy, Frank Davis Jr. of Tulsa, Okla., Michael Davis of San Antonio, Texas; three daughters, Linda Cross of San Antonio, Deborah Tesson of Lemay, Deanne Pennington of West Plains; three brothers, Albert Kirkpatrick of Baltimore, Md., L.C. Kirkpatrick of Mountain Grove, Sanford Kirkpatrick of Akron, Ohio; two sisters, Lorene Friend and Florene Ferrell of East Prairie; 12 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston after 9:30 a.m. Thursday.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with burial in IOOF Cemetery.
