Frances Marie Brown Dodge, 78, of East Prairie, died Thursday, June 23, 2005, at the home of her sister in St. Louis.
She was born April 13, 1927 in East Prairie to the late Cashus Joseph and Mary Margaret Oliver England. She and G.W. Brown were married and later she married John R. Dodge. Both preceded her death.
Dodge lived most of her life in East Prairie, working at the former Brown Shoe Co. in Charleston. She also was a foster grandmother at the Doyle School in East Prairie. She was a member of the First Church of God in East Prairie.
Survivors include a son, Dwight Jones of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Leasa Brown of East Prairie; two sisters, Nadine Sterling of Imperial, Sharon Schisler of St. Louis; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons and one brother.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at the Shelby Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Bob Kespelher officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
