Frances Coe Cargle, 97, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015, at Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Dec. 19, 1917, in San Francisco to the late Ivan Marshall and Della Turner Kramer. Frances and John F. Cargle were married Aug. 29, 1937, in Barlow, Kentucky. He preceded her in death.
Frances was a member of First Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau. She was an accomplished painter, avid golfer and a volunteer at Southeast Hospital.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include three sons, Jon Kent Cargle of Oak Ridge, James David Cargle of Cape Girardeau and Melvin Bradford Cargle of Atlanta; three grandchildren, Kelly, John Matthew and John David Cargle; a great-granddaughter, Jessica Bennett; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two brothers, Ivan O. and Richard W. Kramer.
A private family service has been held.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
