FRANCES BOXDORFER

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Frances B. Boxdorfer, 95, of Perryville died Sunday, March 18, 2001, at Perry County Nursing Home.

She was born April 12, 1905, in Perryville, daughter of Francis Monroe and Sarah Elizabeth Tucker Bass. She and John G. Boxdorfer were married in St. Louis. He died April 17, 1978.

Boxdorfer was a former schoolteacher and had been a bookkeeper at Gross Plumbing Co. in Chester, Ill. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and The Women's Club, both in Chester.

Surviving are nieces and nephews, including Gladys Elder of Perryville.

She was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. today, and Wednesday from 6:30-9:30 a.m. A prayer service will be held at 7 tonight.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Dennis Schaefer will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
