Forrest N. "Jack" Anson, 80, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Sept. 12, 1996, at the Lutheran Home. He was formerly of Warrenton. He was born April 9, 1916, in Truxton, son of Oscar George and Ella Kneubuhler Anson. He and Beulah E. Sprick were married Jan. 23, 1942, in Warrenton. She died March 26, 1992...

Forrest N. "Jack" Anson, 80, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Sept. 12, 1996, at the Lutheran Home. He was formerly of Warrenton.

He was born April 9, 1916, in Truxton, son of Oscar George and Ella Kneubuhler Anson. He and Beulah E. Sprick were married Jan. 23, 1942, in Warrenton. She died March 26, 1992.

Anson retired as a meatcutter with Kroger Co. He also had worked for Stude Realty and had been a rural mail carrier. He was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ in Warrenton, and International Order of Odd Fellows.

Survivors include a daughter, Rita Ringer of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Oscar Anson of McAllen, Texas; three sisters, Gwendolyn Norton of Ballwin, Elizabeth Freeman of West Salida, Colo., and Ruth Femmer of Bridgeton.

He was preceded in death by a son and brother.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Friedens Church in Warrenton, with the Revs. Jim Merrell and Phil Tolliver officiating. Burial will be in Anson Family Cemetery at Truxton.

Nieburg-Martin Funeral Home in Warrenton is in charge of arrangements.
