THEBES, Ill. -- Fordy Bevens, 36, of Thebes died Monday, Jan. 12, 2004, at his home.

He was born May 11, 1967, in Alexandria Bay, N.Y., son of Ford and Linda May Bevens Jr. He and Penny Sue Embrey were married June 14, 1989.

Bevens was employed by city of Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include his wife; his parents of Thebes; a brother, Michael Bevens of Olive Branch, Ill.; two sisters, Rhonda Powell of Thebes, and Crystail VanHorne of Houston, Texas.

He was preceded in death by grandparents.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, Ill., from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Thebes.
