Floyd Landers, 83, of Worden, Ill., formerly of Wolf Lake, Ill, died Saturday, March 24, 2001, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
Landers was born Oct. 7, 1917, at Wolf Lake, the son of William and Ethel Davis Landers.
He was a retired horse trainer, a veteran of WWII and a member of the Boys Town.
He was married to Joda Kelson on Dec. 21, 1938, in Jackson, Mo. She died on May 24, 1997.
Landers is survived by three daughters, Cindy Wenger of Lenzburg, Ill., and Betty Crain and Mary Taylor, both of Anna, Ill.; a son, Eugene Landers of Baton Rouge, La.; and a sister, Hazel Cadell of St. Louis; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers and a sister.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Lutz & Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna, with the Rev. Paul Sadler officiating. Burial will be in the Beech Grove Cemetery, with military honors by the Carroll P. Foster Post 3455 of the VFW in Anna.
