DEXTER, Mo. -- Floyd William Harris, 84, of Dexter died Saturday, June 1, 2002, at Beverly Healthcare in Bloomfield, Mo.
He was born Aug. 29, 1917, near Advance, Mo., son of John and Bertie Sims Harris. He and Thelma Williams were married Jan. 13, 1940.
Harris had been an automobile dealer. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Bloomfield, and Masonic Lodge 488 in Detroit, Mich.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Jack Harris of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Judy Dall of Farmington Hills, Mich.; a granddaughter; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
Friends may call at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ron Dunivan officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Bell City, Mo.
