ALTENBURG -- Floyd F. "Spitz" Schuessler, 80, of Altenburg, died Saturday, Aug. 7, 1993 at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born June 17, 1913 in Altenburg, son of Carl and Agnes Hellewege Schuessler.

He was the former owner of L.W. Transfer Truck Line.

On Aug. 12, 1945, he married the former Leona L. Holschen. She survives of Altenburg.

He is also survived by one son, Dennis W. Schuessler, St. Louis; four sisters, Wilma Lohrke, Spring Park, Minn., Myrtle Perrin, Joplin, Mo., Evelyn Roth, Frohna, Erline Leimbach, El Reno, Okla.; one brother, Elmer Schuessler, Cape Girardeau; and two grandchildren.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg, the Golden Age Club and a charter member of the Altenburg Lions Club. He was also a World War II Army veteran.

Friends may call today from 5-8 p.m. at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel and from 6:30-8 a.m. Monday.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg with the Rev. Willard Kassulke officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
