FLOY E. STEVENSON

EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral service for Floy E. Stevenson, 82, of East Prairie, was held Monday at Shelby Funeral Chapel here. The Rev. George White officiated, with burial in Stevenson Cemetery near Dexter.

Stevenson died Saturday, June 29, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Jan. 21, 1909, at Malden, son of James N. and Maggie Kennedy Stevenson. He married Minnie Gulledge Oct. 17, 1930, in Piggott, Ark.

Stevenson had lived in Mississippi County since 1939, and was a retired farmer.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Kenneth Stevenson of Riverside, Calif., Fonzy Stevenson of Hazelwood; two daughters, Joyce Honse of St. Charles, Norma Samons of East Prairie; two brothers, Alford Stevenson of Broseley, C.W. Stevenson of Munger, Mich.; a sister, Lowetta Gulledge of East Prairie; seven grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
