FLORENCE HENANDER

PERRYVILLE -- Florence R. Feltz Henander, 83, formerly of Perryville, died Sunday, Oct. 19, 1997, at Columbine West Nursing Home in Fort Collins, Colo.

She was born June 1, 1914, in Leonard, Kan., daughter of Rual and Mary Yates Emmons. She first married Levi Feltz March 2, 1935. He died Jan. 2, 1945. She and Elon Henander were married in 1949. He died in 1976.

Henander had worked in retail and industrial environment, and retired as a deputy sheriff. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and its Quilting Club, Daughters of Isabella, Western Catholic Union, American Legion, Royal Neighbors of America, and Virginia Dale Club.

Survivors include three sons, Paul Feltz of South Bend, Ind., Thomas Feltz of Fort Collins and Saudi Arabia, Michael Feltz of Fort Collins; a foster son, John McDermott of Grand Junction, Colo.; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers and sisters.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 5-9 p.m. Thursday, and Friday from 6:30 to 10:45 a.m. The rosary will be recited at 7 Thursday.

Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Mt. Hope Cemetery, with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating.
