ANNA, Ill. -- Flora Ruth Gore Browning, 88, of Anna, formerly of Alto Pass, died Friday, May 12, 1995, at her residence.
She was born April 29, 1907, in Jonesboro, Ill., the daughter of James S. and Josephine Adelaide Kohler Gore. She married Anthony Graydon Browning March 24, 1927, in Calhoun, Ill.
She was a member of the Congregational Church in Alto Pass.
Survivors include a son, James E. Browning of Cobden, Ill.; two sisters, Luine Friese of Sidney, Ill., and Elizabeth Aldridge of Cobden; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Oct. 29, 1984, a brother and a sister.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna.
Friends may also call Monday at the Congregational Church in Alto Pass from 11 a.m. to the funeral service at 1 p.m. The Revs. Gilbert Gee and Loyd Crain will officiate with burial in the Alto Pass Cemetery.
