PUXICO -- Flora Helen Hastings, 71, of Puxico died Saturday, May 8, 1999, at Lucy Lee Hospital in Poplar Bluff.
She was born Aug. 30, 1927, daughter of Lonnie and Lily Creach Wells.
She was a retired employee of the Elders Manufacturing Co. in Bloomfield where she was a presser. She was a member of the Eagles Club of Wappapello and was affiliated with the Assembly of God Church.
She was married to Herbert Hastings. He survives at Manateca, Calif. Two husbands, Thomas Vincent and Shorty Braswell, preceded her in death.
She is survived by a son, Herbert Eugene Hastings, of Cassville; two daughters, Deborah Gail Lemons of Puxico and Sherry Markham of Advance; two brothers, Junior Wells of Van Buren and Delbert Wells of Kansas; three sisters, Verda Bell of Van Buren, Naomi Jennings of Oklahoma and Charlene Swinger of Wichita, Kan.; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Also surviving is a special friend, Cotton Kitchens of Puxico.
She was preceded in death by a son and two sisters.
Service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Watkins & Sons Funeral Chapel in Puxico, with the Rev. Gerald King officiating. Interment will be in Puxico Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Tuesday.
