SIKESTON, Mo. -- Finley Woodrow Wilson, 82, of Sikeston, died Thursday, July 20, 2000, at Clearview Nursing Center. SIKESTON, Mo. -- Finley Woodrow Wilson, 82, of Sikeston, died Thursday, July 20, 2000, at Clearview Nursing Center.

He was born March 4, 1918, at East Prairie, Mo., son of George W. and Sarah Frances Moore Williams. He and Hallean Margaret Oliver were married Oct. 9, 1936, at East Prairie. She survives.

Williams had lived in Sikeston for 26 years. He attended Calvary Temple Church.

He worked as a building contractor until his retirement. He built several homes in Sikeston and worked as a contracting superintendent on the renovations at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. He also worked on the construction of the dormitories at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau.

Other survivors include two daughters, Shirley Owens and Sheila Bohannon, both of Sikeston; a sister, Pearl Dunlap of East Prairie; and three grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and three sisters.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Larry Davis and Burl Britt officiating.

Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
