Fidela "Dale" Aters, 70, of Jackson died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2003, at her home.
She was born Dec. 6, 1932, in Guam, daughter of Jose and Maria Diaz Gutierrez Aguon. She and Paul Aters were married July 15, 1976, in Orange County, Calif.
After retiring in 1995, Aters moved to Jackson from California. She was a member of a Catholic church in Guam.
Survivors include her husband; four sons, Roland Fernando of Guam, William Guinto of San Diego, Calif., James Guinto of Vallejo, Calif., James Aters Jr. of South Bend, Ind.; four daughters, Doris Cruz and Donna Santos of Vallejo, Linda Guinto of Guam, and Debra McEleney of Taunton, Mass.
Also surviving are four brothers, Rudy, Roy and George Aguon, all of Guam, Paul Aguon of Vancouver, Wash.; three sisters, Gloria Igisaiar of Guam, Ann Tydingco of Sacramento, Calif., Diana Young of Hawaii; 16 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 6 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Harold Althen officiating. Burial will be in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery at East Prairie, Mo.
