PUXICO -- Funeral for Ferral C. Evans of Puxico will be held at 10 a.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel in Puxico. The Rev. Carol Bailey will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery near Puxico.

Evans, 87, died Thursday, Feb. 4, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born July 31, 1911, at Acorn Ridge, son of Fred and Myrtle Swank Evans. He and Ruth M. Smith were married July 4, 1937, in Curdton. She died June 14, 1990.

Evans was a retired livestock and row crop farmer. He attended Fairview Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, Eldon Evans of Puxico; a brother, Homer Evans of Puxico; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother.
